Parents interested in making Seventy-First Classical their student’s school of choice must apply to the CCS Assignment Office during the choice application period. Attendance at all grade levels is by application only. The application period for the 2019-2020 school year begins on Monday, January 7, 2019. All applications must be submitted directly to the CCS Student Assignment Office or mailed and postmarked by Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Please visit the CCS’s Choice Web for more information regarding the application process.

SFCMS will hold our annual Open House for families who are interested in making SFCMS their students’ Middle School of Choice in the school’s gymnasium on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. This special event is an excellent opportunity to meet our faculty and staff and explore our extracurricular clubs and organizations.

If your child is a current student of SFCMS and plans to return to our school next year, there is no need to re-apply. However, if you have other children who would like to attend SFCMS next year, you must fill out a choice application for them and submit it per the instructions listed above by the deadline of February 20, 2019.

At SFCMS, we offer a vibrant academic program. As a school of choice, we do not have an athletic program. Instead, we focus on a rich roster of academically competitive teams and clubs. It is the goal at SFCMS that every student have at least one extra-curricular activity in which they can participate. Collectively, our academic teams participate in the North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities (NCASA). More information about our academic teams and clubs is available on SFCMS’s Clubs page.

Transportation services are available only to those SFCMS students who live in the Seventy-First attendance area. All other parents should be prepared to make arrangements for their students’ transportation to and from school each day.

Information about our required dress code is available on SFCMS’s Dress Code page.

Should you have any questions about Seventy-First Classical Middle School’s Classical Choice Program, we invite you to contact the school at 910.864.0092.
